Dolt Pulley
Dolt produced this nice little pulley in the 1960s. It has swing sides to allow for loading the rope and a plastic wheel for smooth operation under load. Bill “Dolt” Feuerer gave all of his creations interesting names and this design was christened “PulleyDolt” or “PullyDolt” as both are used in the same advertisement shown below.
This seems like the place to address this question
Chouinard’s Logo is a C inside of a diamond
Salathe’s blacksmith mark at Peninsula Wrought Iron Works was a P inside of a diamond
Chouinard apprenticed with Salathe
I have always assumed that the diamond C is Yvon’s homage to his master.
I don’t think I have seen this documented.
Can someone provide some insight on this?
