I have a harness which is exactly the same design.
They would make a great pair together.
Maybe we should get in touch with each other and discuss how we could bring them together?
Hi Kevin,
Apologies for the very late reply. Due to some challenging technical issues I’ve been locked out of my site for almost a year. Luckily things seem to be fixed now.
About your harness: I’m always interested in seeing photos of vintage equipment. These chest harnesses had a bit of a following in Eastern Europe and in some alpine applications in the west but you just don’t see many around anymore. I think they are pretty cool looking but I wouldn’t want to fall in one, even coupled with a sit harness from the same time period. Ouch.
Totally missed the email, so apologies for the late reply as well.
I can send you a photo, but maybe I can just send you the harness if you’re interested?
Yes, luckely things improved a lot involving safety.
In those days, climbing was a lot more adventerous!
