- The small size of this belay device made use difficult. I would think they would wear out quickly due to the thin walls and I would be concerned about heat dissipation and it’s general handling characteristics.

I think it was called stitch plate. They sold a double version, too. I bought one when I lost my Tuber. Sucked belaying with a 10.5 in one of those glorified chain links!
