This first generation Pika Mountaineering Nutbuster is an interesting tool. It is perfect for tapping out stubborn chocks, testing the occasional fixed piton, and tightening loose bolts.
The earliest versions of the Nutbuster had the square head shown in our photos and had a black finish. A later batch had a square head and dark grey finish. Later still, came a version with a round stock used for the hammer head and the finish was a lighter grey. Josh Blumental, the creative mind behind the Pika designs, told me the switch to round stock came about when he realized the 3/4 inch stock used to make his hand drills would also work for the hammer head on the Nutbuster.
