Bill Forrest made his single cable “Foxheads” in three chock sizes and two cable lengths. The short versions shown here were great for aid placements where the climber needed to be up close to the piece or for free climbing if used with a long runner to prevent the gear from being effected by rope movements. The cable is much shorter and stiffer compared to the longer version which was meant for protecting free climbing sometimes without a runner attached.
Foxheads became available in 1971/1972 in both the long and short versions.
