These full color pages offer a unique glimpse of some of the climbing gear available to European climbers in 1985. Colors were bright, equipment was still relatively heavy, and climbing was slowly making a transition from pitons and hammers to a cleaner style of climbing protection. Many of the items shown in this catalog are still available today in more refined versions.
Vertical Archaeology offers this information to the climbing community to document gear development and aid interested collectors in accurately dating their equipment.
