I can’t guarantee you that Keds make good climbing shoes but I can tell you that Converse All Stars are pretty bad. I once did “spaceshot” in Zion National Park in a pair… I was pretty broke and they were the only shoes I had… It was torture standing in aid slings and crazy slippery torquing them into sandstone cracks. But, in the end I made it and a decent time was had by all.
This ad is pretty funny. Can you imagine two kids sliding into a cave on a school trip today? The National Guard would probably be called out (sigh) along with half a dozen lawyers!
