I just discovered your website and love it! I was one of the founder/owners of the Swallow’s Nest climbing gear shop in Seattle in the 70’s and have been climbing since ~1963 when I took a rock climbing course from the Sierra Club San Diego chapter. I have some old catalogs(holubar) from the mid 60’s, Chouinard Equipment from early 70’s, and a variety of gear starting in that era—I never threw anything away–it’s in my “time capsule” in my storage room. I firmly believe you can never have too much gear…..and why carry a 30# pack of heavy old gear when you can carry a 30# pack with new light weight stuff! Where are you located? I look thru my stuff and see if I have anything you might find unique. Cheers, clark

So, I am more than impressed; I have saved various pieces over the years, but this would appear to verge on obsession, eh? Do you have any interest in purchasing more stuff or do you know where I might sell much of my stuff? eBay of course is an option, but I’d rather it goes to someone who really appreciates the technology, arcane or not. Let me know if interested or know of where I might sell things.. Thanks.

Thanks for the appreciation! It’s a labor of love and an obsession! I am always in the market for interesting items.
I can give you some pricing ideas and suggest some folks who might be interested in certain pieces.
Send me an email at: dart408@gmail.com and we can set up a zoom call. It’s easier when we can see each item and clearly communicate.
